All images are shot with a 35mm film camera, 20 or 28 mm wide-angle lenses, and a QTVR tripod-head. This is preferred to digital because, in order not to cut some part of the scenery, every few degrees in the vertical field-of-view are needed. Hence the final panoramics you see on this site are not single-shot, but a composition of 12 or 16 high definition images stitched toghether with Apple's QuickTime VR Authoring Studio software package. I do spend some hours on each image color-calibrating, but most of the 'people-free, traffic-free effect' you see is due to the time of shooting (usually before 8AM), and not to Photoshop's stamp tool :-)
... wake up early to enjoy your trip to the fullest!
