Being an heavy user of the delicious extensions for Firefox, I never check the main site and missed the invitation for the preview of the new interface, thus I am about 2 months late for an Information Architecture analysis. Exploring around, I realised something useful is missing, and I filed my request on the forum (reply there please): Great work on the bulk Edit features! I would add a 'shareWithNetwork' (or maybe even with user-groups) option when saving new bookmarks. Even better: enable sharing settings on Tags! Most of the times I add general tags socially useful, togheter with personal ones, these are just 'noise' for other people, and should not clutter the interface. This is at least as important as being able to make your network private, which is already implemented in settings.A new issue arises thought: is a bookmark with both public and private tags to be displayed or not ?
Anyhow, my complete TagCloud is now available in the ‘about’ page, despite the missing possibility of hiding embarassing things.Microformats-wise: Rel-tag for tags is already in the preview, hcontact and hatom for people and bookmarks’ descriptions would also make sense, let’s see if they will be added in the official release… Beware: the preview does not currently synch tags with the main site!
